Thea sat her ass down right on the floor and crossed her legs. Blessing lifted awkwardly so she untied her sheath and laid the sword down beside her as the others gathered in the room that Thea imagined was Ash’s.

The bed was twice the size of the ones she’d seen in the room where Kirion was and there was a huge desk in a corner, covered in papers and maps and all sorts of things that she hadn’t taken the time to detail.

They had gathered here—Ariella, Ruelle, Leethan, Fyreen and Sil, none of the other people of the crew had come—for the much-awaited answers, and Thea’s heart was thundering in her chest in anticipation.

“So, where are we going?” she asked.

Ash’s eyes darted to her, and he bit his lip. Everyone was waiting for his answer. Even Sil turned her head to him.

“We’re going to our kingdom,” he replied. “My kingdom. We’re going to Hivern.”
